Paola Simón

Director of Marketing and Operations

At Empowered Education, Paola leads the Career Orientation Workshop, guiding students in choosing career paths aligned with their strengths and interests. She also supports administration, marketing, and manages operations related to courses and partnerships. With a background in psychology, she’s passionate about helping students move forward with clarity and confidence.

Paola’s Journey

Paola earned her degree in Psychology from UNITEC and completed a triple-title Master’s in Learning Difficulties, Psychopedagogy, and Special Education through ISEP.

She began her educational career as a classroom assistant, working with students from nursery to kindergarten. She later became a homeroom teacher for 1st and 5th grade, and also taught Psychology to 10th graders. While at Honors Academy, Paola developed and led a Special Learning Program designed for students with autism, ADHD, cognitive impairments, and language disorders. In 2024, her dedication and innovation were recognized when she was awarded Teacher of the Year.

Volunteering

Beyond the classroom, Paola is deeply committed to social impact. She co-founded Abrazos de Plata, an NGO created during the COVID-19 pandemic to support elderly homes and orphanages throughout Honduras. The organization has since grown into a long-standing initiative that hosts annual Christmas gift campaigns, builds lasting community relationships, and delivers regular aid to vulnerable populations. In high school, Paola served as president of Relevo por la Vida, leading awareness and fundraising efforts in support of cancer patients. She later joined Rotaract Honduras, serving as vice president, and is currently active with Rotaract Argentina.
